Here’s what folks have been saying about Live At Terminal West and the AJ Ghent Band:

"Soul-singing, guitar-slinging and talented to the highest degree, stand up pedal steel player AJ Ghent lays the first brick in his path to Guitar God status with this 10-song live debut recorded at Atlanta’s Terminal West...there’s little to stand in Ghent’s way to guitar-playing stardom. This record is a fine calling card with which to introduce himself."

-The Bluegrass Situation

“[Live At Terminal West] does not disappoint.”

-Beale Street Caravan

“Bluesy, blustery funk rock with its nod to James Brown soul and Prince swagger.”

-Atlanta Journal-Constitution

“A guy to really watch out for….bubbling to the surface now, it’s his turn.”

-WABE (Atlanta, GA)

"His debut release on Blue Corn shows why he deserves to have his own name at the top of the marquee."

-The Alternate Root

"A lust-filled, swaggering, stormy slide-guitar playing front man who sings tales of heartbreak, betrayal and beauty, AJ Ghent is reminiscent of James Brown and Otis Redding as he bellows out funky rock. His guitar playing is a masterful mix of Jimi Hendrix, Albert King and Ben Harper."

-The Chattanoogan

AJ is a direct descendent of "sacred steel" legends. His great uncle Willie Eason was among those who popularized gospel lap steel in the early 1900's, and his father Aubrey Ghent tours the world playing lap steel for the Slide Brothers.  The AJ Ghent Band was hand picked by Zac Brown to open on the Zac Brown Band's 2013 U.S. tour and AJ performed on the Grohl Sessions Vol. 1. Additionally, AJ has been a member of Col. Bruce Hampton's band in the past, and has played alongside Gov't Mule and the Allman Brothers.
