White Top Five Most Added Alongside Springsteen, Nickel Creek

February 26, 2014 – East Nashville’s Amelia White has been garnering a rising tide of critical praise for her new album Old Postcard, out next week, and now Americana radio is taking note of the album.  White was among the top five most added at the format last week, alongside artists like Bruce Springsteen and Nickel Creek.  According to USA Today, Old Postcard “features haunting melodies reminiscent of White’s past.”

The Bluegrass Situation made "Daddy Run" their "Song of the Week," and said "I think we're entering a great new era of alternative country music. If you need an example, look no further than Amelia White":

USA Today just premiered the new video for "Ghetto" last week, which gives a peek into Amelia's life in East Nashville:

Here’s what else we’ve been hearing about Old Postcard:

"If Lucinda ever fronted Fleetwood Mac, this might be the outcome."

-No Depression

"['Big Blue Sun' is] pensive yet propulsive....White fills out her lonely imagery with chilly harmonies and a weaving, staggering guitar melody."

-CMT Edge

"Reminds us of prime Lucinda."

-American Songwriter

"The Nashvillian’s forthcoming album Old Postcard features a plush, sometimes gospel-lifted sound and recalls the kind of records Lucinda Williams used to make. And it should make a name for White with anyone who cares about three chords, melody and the truth."

-Riverfront Times

"Song of the day - a classic Americana sound and a big, bright hook on the track 'Big Blue Sun.'"

-KDHX St Louis
