CMT Edge Premieres “Propulsive” New BettySoo Track “100 Different Ways Of Being Alone”

New Album When We’re Gone Out May 27th, BettySoo Performing Live on KUT May 14th

May 6, 2014 – Early praise continues to roll in for BettySoo and her stunning new album When We’re Gone, out May 27th, as CMT Edge premieres album standout “100 Different Ways Of Being Alone.”  Lyrically the song tackles the loneliness and despair that one feels from depression, but as CMT Edge says,“’100 Different Ways of Being Alone’ is no navel-gazing lament, though, as BettySoo cleverly offers a ladder up and out. Much of that comes from the way she structured her song — with a propulsive rhythm section and cooing backup vocals.”

When We’re Gone opener “Listen” has also gotten its share of praise as well, with an American Songwriter premiere and a KUT “Song of the Day” pick for the tracks “orchestral flourishes and a slowly building groove.”  BettySoo and her band will be LIVE in-studio on KUT on Wednesday, May 14th at 2pm CT.

BettySoo and Brian Standefer produced When We’re Gone at his studio in Buda, TX.  Standefer plays cello throughout the album, adding a unique texture, while BettySoo’s vocals and expertly crafted melodies remain the focal point.  The album also features Glenn Fukunaga on bass, Dave Terry and Rick Richards on drums and percussion, Joey Colarusso on clarinet and flute (“Lullaby”), Will Sexton on guitar (“The Things She Left Town With,” “Summertime”), and Lloyd Maines on pedal steel (“Last Night”).

BettySoo will be touring the U.S. in support of When We’re Gone.  Current dates can be found here, with many more to be announced soon:
