David Crosby Announces New North American Tour Dates
June 7, 2016 - Today, David Crosby – legendary singer-songwriter, social justice activist, two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee – announces a new round of “An Evening with David Crosby” North American tour dates. The tour will kick off August 18th in South Orange, NJ and run through September 15th in Vancouver, BC. Crosby will play songs from throughout his storied career on the tour, and will be joined by his son James Raymond on piano.
Crosby has been a member of two of the greatest bands in rock and roll history – the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash – and continues to release acclaimed solo albums, including 2014’s “triumphant” (Rolling Stone) Croz. Crosby is also the author of three books including Stand and Be Counted: Making Music, Making History/The Dramatic Story of the Artists and Causes That Changed America, which underscores his commitment to social activism, and belief that artists and musicians are potent agents for change. Crosby's two autobiographical volumes are Long Time Gone and Since Then: How I Survived Everything And Lived To Tell About It. The latter, per Entertainment Weekly, chronicles, "A fascinating life worthy of a sequel."
Crosby is in one of the most creative periods of his career, having just finished a new intimate, harmony-drenched solo album, produced by Snarky Puppy’s Michael League, that will be released this Fall. His last U.S. solo tour this past March was a great success, with multiple sold out dates and rave reviews.
