November 15, 2016 – Two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and folk rock eminence David Crosby is receiving some of the best reviews of his career for his new solo album Lighthouse, out now on GroundUP Music/Verve Label Group.  This week, Crosby will head out on tour in support of the album.

The tour will feature Crosby with a new group that includes Lighthouse producer and Snarky Puppy bandleader Michael League, as well as Lighthouse contributors Becca Stevens and Michelle Willis. The quartet will perform songs from Lighthouse as well as breath a new spirit into songs from Crosby’s remarkable career. They’ll swap instruments, back each other up on vocals and combine to recreate the astonishing vocal harmony stacks found throughout Lighthouse.

Here’s what press has been saying about Crosby and Lighthouse:

"Lights twinkle, flicker, blaze, and sparkle throughout David Crosby's finest solo album since his melancholy 1971 masterpiece If I Could Only Remember My Name. A subtly cohesive set of tunes reflecting Crosby's politics, spirituality and emotional maturity, Lighthouse is an unusually robust late-career move radiating inventive musicianship, relaxed self-assurance and gently cantankerous autumnal wisdom."

-Rolling Stone

"His new album, Lighthouse, is exactly what you’d want from the man all these years later — it’s a thing of fragile beauty, a mostly acoustic record that occasionally veers into otherworldly sounds when Crosby does his thing and stacks his vocals."

Lighthouse is an interior but proudly restless statement, a mostly acoustic singer-songwriter album that bathes Mr. Crosby’s voice and guitar in a warm, clear light.

-New York Times

"It’s nice to get an album like Lighthouse that even further cements Crosby’s status as a psychedelia hero. He’s one of the few artists around that your parents’ radio station won’t stop playing, but whose current music might resonate more strongly with mind-expanding teenagers."

“The 75-year-old folk-rock luminary is back to exploring more lush and humbly sized acoustic-guitar balladry.”

-New York Magazine

“It’s a thoughtful, profound and intensely beautiful late-blossoming career highlight, as light and airy in its musical choices as it is weighty in its subject matter.”

"’The City’ has an urgency and intimacy… when those rich layers of complex vocal harmony kick in, all the lush, luminous qualities that can make the city so seductive are instantly underlined.”

-NPR Music

In Crosby’s unparalleled six-decade career, the native Californian has created songs that resonate as indelible cultural touchstones for more than three generations, not only as a solo artist, but as a founding member of The Byrds in the mid-60s, Crosby, Stills & Nash (recipients of the Grammy for best new artist in 1969), and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. He’s collaborated with dozens of artists, including Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Phil Collins, Elton John and Carole King. The folk rock pioneer, who was inducted into the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009, has also served as our social conscience, not only eloquently writing about societal issues on such songs as “Almost Cut My Hair” and “Wooden Ships,” but continuously donating concert proceeds to likeminded causes.
