Lera Lynn’s “Drive” Is A NPR Music “Songs We Love” Pick
“A musically upbeat rocker that redirects her darkness on the edge of town to the bright charm of the highway strip,” Lera Lynn’s “Drive” has been selected as a NPR Music “Songs We Love” pick. Listen here.
The song is a standout on Lera’s new album Resistor, out April 29 on her own Resistor Music. Resistor embraces the darker and more provocative sides of her songwriting. Moody and muscular, it pairs Lera's voice — a warm, anchoring instrument that sweeps its way through all 10 songs — with the deep-seated rumble of baritone guitars, the atmospheric swirl of keyboards, and the gauze of her own double-tracked harmonies.
Lera will head out on a string of U.S. dates ahead of album release, then head to Europe for an 18-date tour. A full North American tour is coming this summer. Full list of current tour dates here.
