Matrimony’s songs are based in rock structures, with rootsy embellishments like banjo and mandolin and an incredibly strong melodic sense, all wrapped up in tight familial harmonies.  Fronted by husband and wife Jimmy Brown (vocals, guitar) and Ashlee Hardee Brown (vocals, keyboards), the band is rounded out by Ashlee’s brothers Jordan Hardee (drums) and CJ Hardee (mandolin, banjo).  The family dynamic creates a deeply intuitive musical connection that can be heard on record and is even clearer during the band’s live shows.
