Quaker City Night Hawks Opening Corrosion of Conformity/Crowbar Summer Tour

“Quaker City Night Hawks mix the boogie of ZZ Top with the dread of Black Sabbath on their latest album QCNH. Onstage, they’re even more ominous” - Rolling Stone

“May the power of high-octane boogie rock compel and deliver you” -NPR Music

Summer U.S. tour will be followed by European headlining tour in the fall

April 23, 2019 – Ft Worth, TX psychedelic heavy boogie masters Quaker City Night Hawks will head out on tour this summer opening for Corrosion of Conformity and Crowbar on their North American tour. The month-long tour begins July 26th at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY. After wrapping the CoC/Crowbar run at the end of August, Quaker City Night Hawks will head to Europe for a headlining tour beginning October 23rd in Hannover, Germany. The band released their latest album QCNH earlier this year to press raves and a top 20 debut on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.

QCNH is produced by former White Denim member Austin Jenkins and Josh Block of Niles City Sound and performed by a group of road warriors who smartly balance their strengths — Sam Anderson and David Matsler's hook-driven songwriting; drummer Aaron Haynes raw rhythm; the band's blend of Tex-Mex desert rock and street-smart, big-city bombast — with their desire to explore and experiment.

Here’s what press have been saying about Quaker City Night Hawks and QCNH:

“They did what any self-respecting rock band would do: They got heavier — and weirder.”

-Rolling Stone

“A catalog boiling over with over-driven, ’70s-vibin’, Texas-mythologizing boogie, blues, and heavy psyche."

-Fort Worth Weekly

“A band of three fellows from Ft. Worth who rock the fuck out all grits and garage-funk style, como ZZ Top or the Edgar Winter Band. It’s a swaggering long-form jam sorta thing with an unrelenting back beat that is hard to master, but you just gotta hear it, ya hear?”

-Albuquerque Alibi

“Rock 'n' roll is not what it used to be. But don't tell that to the Quaker City Night Hawks, whose music is clearly from another time – a time when there was nothing better than a drive down a dusty road with a cigarette in your mouth, the top off your Firebird Trans Am and Creedence Clearwater Revival on the radio. QCNH invoke all of these feelings with their brand of blues-infused boogie rock.”

-Phoenix New Times

“With a fresh lineup and an impressive new album showcasing the most evolved iteration of the band yet, Quaker City Night Hawks find themselves in top form in the early months of 2019.”

-Dallas Observer

“Those Quaker City Night Hawks boys are pretty big these days, huh? Maybe even bigger than you even realize, actually.”
