River Whyless Add Bonnaroo To Busy Festival Schedule, Announce Second Leg Of Headlining Tour

Rising Asheville, NC Band Also Playing SXSW, Savannah Stopover, Mountain Jam, Hogs For The Cause And Old Settler’s Music Festivals

January 12, 2017 - River Whyless have been announced as a performer at Bonnaroo 2017, adding another major festival date to their growing slate. The band will also play SXSW, Savannah Stopover, Mountain Jam, Hogs For The Cause and Old Settler’s festivals as well. Today, River Whyless also announce the second leg of their coast-to-coast headlining tour. The full tour begins February 15th in Louisville, KY.

River Whyless released their latest album We All The Light (Roll Call Records) last year to critical praise and success at both Triple A and Americana radio. NPR Music’s Bob Boilen included album standout “Baby Brother” in his top 40 songs of 2016, and the Bluegrass Situation named We All The Light one of the best albums of 2016, saying “not only is the album an upbeat, string-heavy, shimmering beacon of hope musically, but it also boasts lyrics that everyone in the midst of post-election fallout should soak in….It’s nice to remember we’re all in this big world together, and River Whyless reaffirms that message, filtered through a world lens.”

The band also won support and coverage from NPR Music, the New York Times, the Associated Press, NPR All Things Considered, WNYC Soundcheck, NPR World Café, No Depression, the Bluegrass Situation, WFUV and more.
