Sam Morrow “Should Be On The Radar Of Anyone Who Loves Greasy, Crunchy, Deep-Fried Southern Rock” (Rolling Stone), Added At SiriusXM Outlaw Country, SXSW + U.S. Tour Next

March 2, 2018 – Sam Morrow’s upcoming album Concrete and Mud, out March 30th on Forty Below Records, is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated country and Americana releases of year. This week, the album’s strutting first single “Quick Fix” has been added at SiriusXM Outlaw Country. Morrow will play five shows at SXSW ahead of a March 29th release show at the Peppermint Club in Los Angeles (sponsored by The New 88.5 FM), and then head out on a cross-country U.S. tour in April.

Rolling Stone Country named Morrow a "New Country Artist You Need to Know," saying he sounds like "California classic rock like Little Feat mixed with Texas honkytonk for a new breed of SoCal melting pot country," and they also put his second single "Heartbreak Man" (which premiered at the Bluegrass Situation) on their "10 Best Country and Americana Songs of the Week" list last week. American Songwriter says the new album finds Morrow "exploring his myriad influences, including Texas country, Southern rock, and old-school funk." Wide Open Country has already called Concrete and Mud one of the "9 Country and Americana Albums to look Forward to in 2018," alongside albums from artists like Kacey Musgraves, Ruby Boots, American Aquarium and Brandi Carlisle.

Concrete and Mud was recorded largely live in the studio on a vintage Neve 8068 console with producer/engineer Eric Corne at the helm, and it shines a light on Morrow's strength as a songwriter, front-man, and bandleader. At 27 years old, the L.A.-based, Houston, TX native has found his footing as an artist and appears poised to join the ranks of West Coast heavyweights like Sam Outlaw, Jade Jackson, and Morrow's friend and label mate, Jaime Wyatt, whose vocals can be heard on three Concrete and Mud tracks.
