Seven Dates On Upcoming 2018 U.S. Tour Already Sold Out, Including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Nashville And Three Nights In San Francisco
February 7, 2018 – Snarky Puppy, the three-time GRAMMY-winners called a ““barnstorming, groove-centric instrumental act with a rabid fan base” by the New York Times, today announce that they will be a part of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s centennial season. They will join the LA Phil and Vince Mendoza on February 23, 2019 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, CA for a U.S. exclusive performance, featuring new orchestral arrangements of Snarky Puppy classics.
The band are getting ready to head out on their latest U.S. tour later this month, and they’ve already sold out seven of the tour’s 17 shows, including in major markets Los Angeles, Atlanta, Nashville and three of the four night’s the band play San Francisco. Before the winter tour, the group will host the second annual GroundUP Music Festival February 9-11 in Miami Beach, FL.
Snarky Puppy will play a set each night of the festival, and the rest of the line-up includes: The Wood Brothers; The Flecktones Trio feat. Béla Fleck, Victor Wooten and Futureman; Robert Glasper; Lionel Loueke (artist at large), Joshua Redman, Michael League, & Larnell Lewis; Eliades Ochoa (Buena Vista Social Club great) with Sammy Figueroa; Kitailo and The Spoken Words feat. Snarky Puppy recently made their Carnegie Hall debut, curating a sold out night of protest songs with guests Laura Mvula, Chris Thile, Fatoumata Diawara and David Crosby. Rolling Stone said the eclectic concerted demonstrated that “Snarky Puppy can seemingly adapt to any and every genre.”
