November 6, 2017 – Snarky Puppy – the “barnstorming, groove-centric instrumental act with a rabid fan base” (New York Times) – today announces their initial 2018 U.S. tour. Before the three-time Grammy Award-winning group heads out on the official tour, they will play Carnegie Hall on January 25th in New York City, a show billed as “Snarky Puppy with David Crosby and friends.” Then the band will host the 2nd annual GroundUP Music Festival in Miami Beach, FL February 9-11, 2018. The festival will feature a special set from Snarky each day along with performances from an eclectic list of international superstars including: The Wood Brothers; The Flecktones Trio feat. Béla Fleck, Victor Wooten and Futureman; Robert Glasper; Lionel Loueke; Joshua Redman; Buena Vista Social Club great Eliades Ochoa and many others. The official U.S. tour kicks off with a two-night run at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, GA, and ends with a four-night run at SFJAZZ in San Francisco, CA.

The band also recently won their third straight Downbeat Readers Poll Jazz Band Award. Earlier this year, Snarky Puppy won their third Grammy Award for the “big, rich and funky” (NPR Music) album Culcha Vulcha. A global phenomenon, their world tour will take them to five continents by the end of 2017. Snarky Puppy’s 2017 tour highlights include a headline set at Newport Jazz Festival, playing with the L.A. Philharmonic at Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, playing with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and a sold out show at the 5,000 capacity Brixton O2 Academy in London.
